Our team

Our teamThe owners and drivers

Meet the people behind EventTrucks – and the ones behind the wheel on your big day.

EventTrucks ApS is owned by Claus and Chanett Jørgensen, who founded the company in 2018. Claus drives a student truck himself every year, Chanett is a backup driver, and all our drivers hold a category C driving licence and an EU certificate of professional competence.

It started with 3 small children and 3 old military trucks from an auction

The owners

Mr and Mrs Jørgensen founded EventTrucks in 2018 and still own the company.

Claus Jørgensen, Director of EventTrucks and regular driver of the student truck Bravo

Claus Jørgensen

Director

Claus is the one at the other end of the phone and the customer service email. From your first enquiry about a student truck until the order confirmation is sent, he is the one helping you through the process.

Responsibilities

  • Bookings and customer service
  • Marketing
  • Hiring drivers
  • Partners
  • Getting the trucks ready each spring – inspection and equipment tests

Out on the trucks: Even with many balls in the air, he is out celebrating the new graduates every single year. He is the regular driver of the student truck called Bravo.

Chanett Jørgensen, Managing Director of EventTrucks and backup driver

Chanett Jørgensen

Managing Director

Chanett approves the route plans you send in, so they follow the rules and every family gets a visit from the student truck.

Responsibilities

  • Approving route plans
  • Inspections and insurance
  • Ferries and hotels
  • Our drivers’ wages
  • All the administration

Out on the trucks: Chanett is a backup driver and only drives a few classes every year – so you might be lucky enough to have her as the driver on your graduation drive.

The drivers

The driver is the adult on the truck

As the driver of a student truck, you are the adult who follows the route plan and the times, so the families get their visit at the planned time.

With us there are no grumpy old drivers: our drivers are chatty, friendly, outgoing and professional. All of them hold a category C licence and an EU certificate, and there is zero tolerance for alcohol and drugs. Claus is the one who hires the drivers.

The driver always greets you, congratulates you on your caps and gives you 3 simple rules before the drive starts:

  • Only the driver adjusts the sound system. You can control the music from your phone/tablet.
  • Don’t throw bottles or rubbish out of the truck – use the bin.
  • The driver is the one who opens up, so you can get down from the truck.

  1. What is your best advice for a class about to book?

    • Claus Jørgensen, Director of EventTrucks and regular driver of the student truck BravoClaus
I recommend downloading our checklist and doing a bit of research. Otherwise you can read all about us here on the website, use our price calculator and book directly!
    • André, driver of the EventTrucks student truck PapaAndré
Get more eyes on the trucks and on the offer – what does the price include, and what are the extra fees (are they hidden?) Get parents and former graduates to look it over, and maybe ask if you can talk to or message a driver.
    • Rune, driver of the EventTrucks student truck DeltaRune
Make sure you ride with Rune
    • Tim, driver of the EventTrucks student truck Romeo, with a group of happy graduates behind himTim
      Book with a serious haulier (a member of BFEK.DK) - book Eventtrucks.dk😎
    • Michael, driver of the EventTrucks student truck LimaMichael
Be in good time and make sure everything is clear to the whole class, so none of your classmates are in any doubt about what has been ordered and paid for.
    • Mads, driver of the EventTrucks student truck NovemberMads
Well, the best advice is to book with us, because we have the best trucks and drivers, ready to take you wherever you want to go.
  2. What is the best thing about graduation drives?

    • Claus Jørgensen, Director of EventTrucks and regular driver of the student truck BravoClaus
The joy of the young people and their families. It’s so fantastic to know you’re helping to give them an experience for life!
    • André, driver of the EventTrucks student truck PapaAndré
You are part of the young people’s most special day, and – quite uniquely – we are with them all day, so you build a positive and festive relationship. It’s life-affirming, and you feel young again yourself.
    • Rune, driver of the EventTrucks student truck DeltaRune
Helping to make a good day where parents can safely leave the responsibility to me
    • Tim, driver of the EventTrucks student truck Romeo, with a group of happy graduates behind himTim
It’s great to be part of the team that gives the graduates the best party on wheels👍
    • Michael, driver of the EventTrucks student truck LimaMichael
Helping to create the setting for the celebration. Meeting happy, forward-looking people with dreams and ambitions.
    • Mads, driver of the EventTrucks student truck NovemberMads
For me, the best thing about driving graduates is the experience with the graduates and their parents, and the class community you quickly become part of as a driver.
  3. What do you check on the truck before the drive starts?

    • Claus Jørgensen, Director of EventTrucks and regular driver of the student truck BravoClaus
Tyres, lights, oil and, of course, that the sound system works!
    • André, driver of the EventTrucks student truck PapaAndré
On the first day I go through the truck: the first aid kit, cleaning supplies, the sound system (important), the lights on the truck and the truck bed. I check the bars and test the stripper pole myself! I go over the stairs and railings, and finally the horn! Before every drive I check that the truck is 100% clean inside, the sound system, and that my clothes are festive enough.
    • Rune, driver of the EventTrucks student truck DeltaRune
The safety side, then oil and water😂
    • Tim, driver of the EventTrucks student truck Romeo, with a group of happy graduates behind himTim
Safety, the sound system is at max and everyone is on board🙏
    • Michael, driver of the EventTrucks student truck LimaMichael
That everything to do with safety is spot on! The truck is 100 percent in order, and the speakers can of course blow the fur off your family’s guinea pig when we roll down the street.
    • Mads, driver of the EventTrucks student truck NovemberMads
I always check that my truck runs as it should, that it’s clean and that the music works.
  4. What do you do if a student doesn’t follow the rules?

    • Claus Jørgensen, Director of EventTrucks and regular driver of the student truck BravoClaus
I talk to the student at a stop, explain that I know it’s not the student cap that’s pressing after a few hours on the truck, and remind them that we need to remember the few rules we have.
    • André, driver of the EventTrucks student truck PapaAndré
It varies a lot. Is it repeated silliness, is the safety of that person or others at risk, do the others feel unsafe? 9 times out of 10 it can be sorted out with a chat and a twinkle in the eye!
    • Rune, driver of the EventTrucks student truck DeltaRune
I tell them off, and if it happens again it’s thanks for today – though that has never happened in the 5 years I’ve been driving
    • Tim, driver of the EventTrucks student truck Romeo, with a group of happy graduates behind himTim
I make sure they understand that the rules are there so everyone gets a safe and good party - otherwise it’s off and walk.😀
    • Michael, driver of the EventTrucks student truck LimaMichael
Everyone deserves one more chance. Both in life and on the back of the student truck. But if you don’t get the message and break the rules several times or create an uneasy or unsafe atmosphere… then the drive stops for you.
    • Mads, driver of the EventTrucks student truck NovemberMads
I’ll always have a chat with the student about what’s going on, and if needed help them understand that the rules have to be followed and that it’s no joke.
  5. What is it like to drive the same class for several days?

    • Claus Jørgensen, Director of EventTrucks and regular driver of the student truck BravoClaus
Several days with the same class can be something really special! The chemistry has built up after the first day, and there’s room for more fun and cheek on day 2 and 3!
    • André, driver of the EventTrucks student truck PapaAndré
It’s really special! You always get close to each other, which makes the second day more personal.
    • Rune, driver of the EventTrucks student truck DeltaRune
Several days are better – you build something up, and the second day is always more fun
    • Tim, driver of the EventTrucks student truck Romeo, with a group of happy graduates behind himTim
A class driving over several days can be the best trip, because then there’s plenty of time for proper visits to each other... and it also sounds a notch more hardcore😉
    • Michael, driver of the EventTrucks student truck LimaMichael
They can be the best days! You get to know each other a bit better. It also means that if there are many of you in the class, we can make sure there’s enough time at the stops.
    • Mads, driver of the EventTrucks student truck NovemberMads
It’s always really cosy being the driver for a class on a multi-day drive, because time isn’t as tight; you can take a little detour or an extra stop if the class feels like it.
  6. What does the driver NOT miss after this year’s graduation drives?

    • Claus Jørgensen, Director of EventTrucks and regular driver of the student truck BravoClaus
Pretzel sticks, sausage rolls, pizza rolls and whistles!
    • André, driver of the EventTrucks student truck PapaAndré
      Whistles!
    • Rune, driver of the EventTrucks student truck DeltaRune
      Rasmus Seebach
    • Tim, driver of the EventTrucks student truck Romeo, with a group of happy graduates behind himTim
The driver does NOT miss more strawberries dipped in chocolate or rocking rides in traffic, but does miss all the happy graduates🥲
    • Michael, driver of the EventTrucks student truck LimaMichael
This year’s “summer BANGER”. We’ve heard it, and we don’t need to hear it again.
    • Mads, driver of the EventTrucks student truck NovemberMads
The driver doesn’t miss a whistle.
  7. What makes a good driver?

    • Claus Jørgensen, Director of EventTrucks and regular driver of the student truck BravoClaus
Presence – being the adult who looks after the young people all day. Keeping an overview and handing a bottle of water to those who are feeling the pressure a bit.
    • André, driver of the EventTrucks student truck PapaAndré
Smiling, positive, on top of safety without playing police, and solution-minded (loves a party)
    • Rune, driver of the EventTrucks student truck DeltaRune
Presence, and being able to keep a cool head – they are drunk young people after all
    • Tim, driver of the EventTrucks student truck Romeo, with a group of happy graduates behind himTim
Someone who keeps an eye on safety and time, tries to meet the graduates’ wishes and just makes sure it’s the best party on wheels🤩
    • Michael, driver of the EventTrucks student truck LimaMichael
Calm, trust in the young graduates, a sense of responsibility, being available and approachable. All seasoned with a good dose of humour.
    • Mads, driver of the EventTrucks student truck NovemberMads
The best driver in the world is one who makes sure the truck arrives on time and helps the graduates have the best day in the world.
  8. Can the driver feel it when you jump on the truck bed?

    • Claus Jørgensen, Director of EventTrucks and regular driver of the student truck BravoClaus
YES! You can feel whether the class is buzzing or whether they are feeling the pressure! When they jump, the drivers sit in the cab and bounce too. SO if the class jumps in time, the driver can easily hit the roof!
    • André, driver of the EventTrucks student truck PapaAndré
YES! Especially if they jump in time at the back (but that’s a secret)
    • Rune, driver of the EventTrucks student truck DeltaRune
Very much so, and I advise against it while driving, because hard braking can cause injuries from falls – it can be let loose when we are standing still
    • Tim, driver of the EventTrucks student truck Romeo, with a group of happy graduates behind himTim
The driver can feel the mood and the jumping on the truck bed, and especially enjoys it when it’s just a bit in time with the music😁
    • Michael, driver of the EventTrucks student truck LimaMichael
      YES!
    • Mads, driver of the EventTrucks student truck NovemberMads
Can we feel the graduates jumping? YESSS!! We can, and the more the better, thanks.
  9. What do you do if you are ahead of schedule?

    • Claus Jørgensen, Director of EventTrucks and regular driver of the student truck BravoClaus
Our route plans are usually very accurate. But should a class want to leave a stop sooner, they can use the time in a cornfield or spend more time at a stop with a pool.
    • André, driver of the EventTrucks student truck PapaAndré
Talk to the driver. Maybe he or she will find a festive route, make a spontaneous stop and set up a game!
    • Rune, driver of the EventTrucks student truck DeltaRune
You aren’t if you’re a good driver – it gets adjusted at every stop, and changes are agreed with the contact person.
    • Tim, driver of the EventTrucks student truck Romeo, with a group of happy graduates behind himTim
If you’re ahead of schedule, you can hold a competition or stop at the grocer’s, as long as you don’t fall behind.
    • Michael, driver of the EventTrucks student truck LimaMichael
Use the time sensibly, so you don’t arrive at the last stop with time to spare. We stick to the plan, so you get the most out of your booking.
    • Mads, driver of the EventTrucks student truck NovemberMads
If you’re ahead of schedule, well, then we just take a detour or two, preferably through towns where there are people to smile, wave and say hello to.
  10. Are you allowed to kiss the driver?

    • Claus Jørgensen, Director of EventTrucks and regular driver of the student truck BravoClaus
I’ll agree to a hug. Kisses you can share with each other!
    • André, driver of the EventTrucks student truck PapaAndré
      NO! Not while driving!
    • Rune, driver of the EventTrucks student truck DeltaRune
      No.
    • Tim, driver of the EventTrucks student truck Romeo, with a group of happy graduates behind himTim
Of course you can give the driver a kiss on the cheek, if he or she has earned it😘
    • Michael, driver of the EventTrucks student truck LimaMichael
Your driver respects you and looks after you. That one you’ll have to take up with your driver.
    • Mads, driver of the EventTrucks student truck NovemberMads
      Yes, of course you can.
